Another day, another page in my art journal…I’m glad that I’m keeping with my New Year’s resolution to keep an art journal. I wanted to do it in part to give myself a reason to practice drawing and painting. I can already tell that it’s getting a little easier to do.

I was driving through our small town a few evenings ago when I saw the moon rising over the river at the end of a crossroad. I pulled over to take a pic, and to enjoy the beauty of the scene.  I’ve attempted to re-create that scene here. Like with my other journal pages (see previous posts) I first drew with an art pen and then painted it with watercolors.

I know I didn’t come close to doing it justice, but looking at this picture reminds me just how lucky I am to live in such a scenic area. 🙂
