In my last blog, I admitted that I’ve crocheted 17 Infinity scarves since the 4th of July.  I’d only intended to make about 4 of them, but I got all excited about all the colors and patterns I was coming up with, and just kept going.  I figured I could put them in my online Etsy shop, which I did.

Then my sunglasses case broke.  The hinge just wouldn’t stay closed, and I’d find my prescription sunglasses jumbled with the clutter at the bottom of my purse.  I had a brainstorm…I’d crochet a glasses case!  What a great idea!  And if the glasses were getting a crocheted case, why not my cell phone? And of course I couldn’t forget my Kindle.  Here’s my trio of cases:

I had fun making them, and actually use them. But would anyone else want something like these?  I don’t know, so for now I’m not planning on making any more.

My closet now has 4 of my Infinity scarves, my daughter’s has 2, and the virtual shelves are stocked in my Etsy shop.  Thankfully, the crochet madness that hit me seems to be winding down.  And that’s a good thing, since my creative Muse is now pestering me about some painting ideas.
