For my latest knitted animal, I decided to make a cat using yarn that is blended colors–gray and purple.  The result is a cat whose color changes from purple at the tip of the ears to gray at the toes.  Below is the pre-constructed cat spread out on my dining room table:

And here is the finished cat:
