From bearskin to Teddy bear

I’ve been busy knitting new animals to join my menagerie.  I am currently working on a cat, but yesterday I finished making another bear–a brown bear with a red scarf.  I took a couple of photos along the way:

WP_20150821_003Working on the bear’s head using my knitting loom–you can see the ears emerging under the loom.

WP_20150821_004Working on the body in this photo.  I noticed the unfinished head sitting on the table looking almost as if it was watching me, and just had to take a picture.

WP_20150821_006Here is the head, body and limbs all knitted and ready to be sewn and stuffed.  It looks like a little bearskin in pieces at this point–I guess that’s what it is!

WP_20150821_029Here’s my brown bear, sewn and stuffed, with facial features sewn on and scarf around his neck.  He’s joined his companions in the antique cradle we recently bought  a flea market.   You can see pics of him and his friends at my Etsy shop. I’m eager to finish the cat so that it can join his knitted buddies.  🙂
